In order to make transactions in The Multiverse, you will need to create a web3 wallet. Digital Village uses VENLY for its wallet management system. You can create a VENLY account here and select "My Wallet" in the top right-hand corner. Create a master pin, write it down on a piece of paper, and store it in a secure location.
In order to make transactions in the Multiverse, you will need to fund your web3 wallet. Depending on the asset, you may need to use different cryptocurrencies to make a purchase. We will use the Ethereum blockchain and its coin Ether ($ETH) in this example.
2. Once you have selected Ethereum, select "Create New Wallet". You may also import an existing Ethereum wallet if it is more convenient.
3. Once you have created a new Ethereum wallet, you will see a dashboard containing your current $ETH balance, NFTs, and your transaction activity. In the top right, you will see your Ethereum wallet address - think of this as your bank account number. If you want to send $ETH or Ethereum NFTs to your wallet, you will send it to this address.
You can purchase cryptocurrency using debit and/or debit cards using a fiat-onramp. You can access Venly's fiat onramp by visiting your wallet dashboard and clicking "Buy ETH".
2. On the left-hand side, select the amount of $ETH you want to buy. If you are participating in the Terra Initium land sale, make sure the amount of $ETH you are purchasing will cover the price of a parcel of land + network fees (this can be $10-$30 more on average).
3. Enter your Ethereum wallet address into the box outlined in green. If you need to retrieve your wallet address, see step 3 of "Funding your Wallet" above. Double-check that your wallet address is pasted correctly (you won't be able to reverse the transaction after it is sent!).
4. Select "Card" as method of payment and proceed.
5. Add your billing address and card details in order to confirm your purchase. Soon after, you will need to complete a verification step before the transaction is submitted. After that, you should receive your crypto shortly (this can take up to 30 minutes depending on network congestion)!
